Marion Bartoli Debuts Wristband Collection at the Australian Open

Of course the girl who always rocks the Louboutins off the court, and who would always bring her precious Louis (Vuitton that is) on the court, would be the one to come up with a way to bling out any tennis outfit - a wristband collection!  I haven't been able to find any press about it, but Marion Bartoli took it upon herself to put it out there via Twitter:

Once I find some additional info on how YOU can bling yourself out on the court, I'll update this post.  Love!

Tweets of the Week: Hot Actors, Darth Vader, Young Andy and Some 'Risky Business'

I am so jealous of Marion Bartoli right now, she wins Wimbledon and then gets to canoodle with Gerard Butler.  Things I must know:  1. How is she friends with Gerard Butler? and 2. Can she hook me up?!?

Wimbledon Champions Shine At Dinner

Andy Murray and Marion Bartoli certainly stole the show this fortnight with their emphatic victories at Wimbledon. Their good form continued off the court where both looked stunning at the Wimbledon Champions Dinner.

Highlights from the French Open Day 3

Simon Gruel waits. FFTRemember that over-hyped movie, Midnight In Paris? Every single hipster I know loved it. I hated it. Anyway, throughout the movie Owen Wilson is always going on about how Paris is better in the rain. More romantic, or something. At the end of the film him and his new girl walk through Paris in the rain. This is basically all I took from the film.

Obviously Owen Wilson's character had never tried to attend Roland Garros in the rain. For a tennis fan, Paris is infinitely sweeter when the sun is shining on sweaty tennis players running around a clay court. Yesterday, however, fans were stuck waiting and waiting and waiting as Paris bucketed down rain for four hours.

Reading Room: Wimbledon Catch Up

I've been moving over the past few days, hence the lack of posts, but here are some interesting stories that happened during week 1 of Wimbledon:

Julia Goerges was annoyed by being called gorgeous

Serena Williams was unhappy with the scheduling on Centre Court.

Feliciano Lopez and Justin Gimelstob had a spat.  Here is the tweet that sent Twitter buzzing:

His English is very good, no?

Marion Bartoli ejected her parents from a match.

Andy Murray scolded his mum about her Deliciano antics.

WTA All Access Hour: Marion Is Lovely

I've always thought that because Marion Bartoli's tennis is "unconventional" that she would be too, (perhaps she would bounce and shuffle in her chair while answering questions.)  But, just like Jelena, that  misconception was immediately put to rest during the WTA All Access Hour.  I can't point you to anything she said, but she was just, for lack of a better word, lovely.  If I could have seen her aura, it would have been a soft blue, which means:  peacefulness, clarity and communication, truthful, and intuitive.

I Blame Uncle Toni

Rafael Nadal has looked a bit lost all week, and his first serve has been a HOT mess, but Rafa being Rafa, with his "never give up" mantra, still managed to get to the finals of the BNP Paribas Open against Novak Djokovic, someone he has OWNED in their head-to-head (16-7), and when you broke it down further into times they've met in finals, Rafa was 5-0.  But today Rafa met new, confident Nole who was on a 17-0 winning streak and had already taken out Roger Federer 3 times this year...... and Rafa. Went. Down.  With that said, I don't just mean that he lost the match (which he did to the tune of 4-6, 6-3, 6-2), but for the first time since I've watched Rafa play, it looked like he just gave up.  He kept giving his camp the stink-eye out of frustration, and you know who wasn't there when Rafa looked at his box?  That's right, Uncle Toni.  I would bet all my savings that next week in Miami when Uncle T arrives, that serve will come around quick, because Uncle T don't play that.

But of course, congrats to Nole who is now 18-0 in 2011.  He's on FIYAH.

Caroline Wozniacki defeated Marion Bartoli 6-1, 2-6, 6-3 to win the women's title.   This is her second title this year and her 3rd straight final.  If there is one thing you can say about Caro, (outside of her being a human backboard and a slamless number 1) is that the girl is consistent.  She'll be keeping that number 1 ranking for a while and Bartoli will rise to number 10 in the world when the rankings come out next week.  I can't blame Uncle Toni for that.
